Happy Birthday Dad

Here's a photo of my lovely Dad who's celebrating his 77th Birthday today. My parents are travelling up to London at the end of this week for a visit so we're really looking forward to seeing them.  My Dad had a quadruple heart bypass operation at the end of last year so I'm really pleased that he is feeling more able to travel and beginning to return to normal.

  1. Hello sweet Jacqui! Your Dad looks like a sweetheart and he looks much younger than 77! I wish him a very Happy Birthday! I am so glad they will be coming to visit you soon. I am very thankful to hear your dad is feeling better, able to travel and getting back to normal! That is a blessing! I pray he continues to do well! I had open-heart surgery (my second one) in November, to have my heart valve replaced again. I am so thankful to be alive and to be feeling better! Thank you for visiting me and for your very sweet comments! I am so glad we met! Have a lovely day! xo~ Paula

    1. Hello Paula. Thank you for your kind, thoughtful words. My Dad has always been so fit & active so it was a shock to all of us when he had a heart attack. I think this is what saved him though. I can only imagine what a difficult time it must have been for you and your family. I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better now and I think it is amazing that you think so much of others and spare the time to leave such lovely, thoughtful comments. Now Paula, look after yourself and I look forward to visiting you again soon and seeing all your sweet makes and finds. Jacqui x

    2. Dear Jacqui, You are very welcome! I can imagine what a shock it was since he was fit and healthy. I am sure that helped him a great deal. I am so thankful he survived his heart attack! I know it was frightening for him and for all of you! Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words! I was born with a lot of very rare heart defects and it has been difficult my whole life. I still have more open-heart surgery in my future, but I try to take each day as it comes. I am very grateful that God has carried me through so much and that I am doing very well now. Your sweet words blessed me so much! Thank you dear heart! I love visiting you and your sweet daughter and am so glad we "met". Thank you for taking time to visit me and for all of your lovely comments! I am off to visit your new post! Sending you much love across the pond! Take care! xo~Paula

  2. Dear Jacqui,
What a lovely blog you have created! I saw your comment on my sweet adopted daughter, Paula's blog, and just had to come visiting. You have so many wonderful ideas and beautiful photos...Each one is a delight!
Your Dad is an inspiration! My Mom (who is turning 90 next month) had quadruple bipass when she was 65. I wish your Dad many many years of good health!
    Blessings,
    Carolynn
