Sweet Blue Bird Fabric

I visited Hobbycraft last weekend and picked up this pretty 'Blue Bird' fabric by 'The Henley Studio'.
Not sure what I'll be using it for yet but it was too pretty to resist.
I also treated myself to this little book on making bunting by Kate Haxell which is full of lots of lovely inspiring projects for £4.99.
We've had a busy week with school trips and end of term activities. Just looking forward to the sunshine we've been promised at the weekend and the beginning of the summer holidays! Hopefully a nice lay in on Sunday (unless there's a good boot sale on...)

  1. You go girl!!If there is a good sale for anything then that's where you belong! Have a great weekend..Judy

  2. Your bluebird fabric is really pretty in both the blue and the white. Can't wait to see what you do with it!

  3. Love your pretty blue bird fabrics!! Happy sewing! xo Heather

  4. Jacqui, This is so delicate and pretty! Jealous!

Hope you get that lie in ..... x

  5. Hi Jacqui - The blue bird fabric is lovely - I remember you said you liked the blue floral fabric of my coasters!

I think the bunting book will be really interesting - there is a lot of bunting about, but it is good to get a new take on it - I have just made hand knitted rosette bunting/garland for my stall at my next Fair - and I'm quite pleased with it!

    Have a good weekend. Ruth

    1. Hi Ruth. Make sure you share a picture of your bunting as I'd love to see it. Is it to decorate your stall or have you made it to sell? I've seen some really pretty crochet bunting and must really learn to crochet. I can knit squares but haven't learnt to follow a pattern. Hope your fair goes well.

  6. So very pretty Jacqui, the book looks wonderful, I have just made some bunting for my hallway, have a lovely weekend

  8. Hi Jacqui: Were there any good boots? I just want to thank you for your kind comments on the kitchen redo. It's slow but sure at this point. Hope the final isn't too far away..Happy Weekend..Judy

  9. I can understand why you did not pass on the fabric! Really cute!!
