This is a little hoop embroidery I finished a few weeks ago inspired by the lovely seed head drawings and prints by Angie Lewin in her book 'Plants and Places'.
I kept the colours fairly neutral but maybe next time I'll try to introduce a little more colour with felt or fabrics behind the stitching.
Hope everyone has a lovely week inspired by nature.

Hi Jacqui: That embroidery is beautiful. I love to see the crafts that you do. You are so talented..Happy Sunday..Judy
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Jacqui! Love the flowers, and details!! So talented you are! Great job! Have a lovely day! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteI love your hoop embroidery. It has a great contemporary/retro feel to it. Will you leave it in the hoop for display? I think the plain round frame it provides is just right.
ReplyDeleteHope you are keeping well.
Ruth.
Hi Ruth. I'll probably leave it in its frame to keep it simple. I've been collecting Angie Lewin cards over the last few years which I've been meaning to frame so if I ever get around to it I might hang them together.
DeleteThis is so pretty and well done! I love it. x
ReplyDeleteHello, that is lovely! I am in the middle of an embroidery inspired by Angie Lewin too. I love her pictures. I'll post a picture on my blog when it's finished. x
ReplyDeleteI too love Angie Lewin's seed head drawings, and think you've interpreted them beautifully.
