Looking for decorating inspiration, I came across this photo of a shopfront in Hastings I took back in August 2012.
I just love the combination of beautiful turquoise blue paint, the birdcage and the potted plant in its lovely weathered clay pot. Painting my front door a lovely shade of blue and making the entrance a little more attractive will have to go on my increasingly long

Hi Jacqui,
ReplyDeleteThe birdcage and pelargoniums do make a beautiful photo! I like the colour contrast.
I plan to paint the inside of my house this year. After twenty years it can use a fresh layer of paint!
Happy week!

I redecorated my bedroom last year after nearly 18 years! It took me months and I just moved back in before Christmas when my daughter came home from uni and needed her room back. I still need some finishing touches (and curtains) but it is such a nice, bright, relaxing space now.
DeleteIt looks beautiful Jacqui.I love looking for inspiration and then trying to recreate something similar at home. I'd like to re decorate our hall, stairs and landings and maybe freshen up a couple of other rooms with a lick of paint. It all depends on how much time we have really.
ReplyDeleteMy hall, stairs and landing also need decorating. I pulled the carpet up in the summer as I was so fed up with it so we have had bare floorboards for months. I really need to redo my bathroom first which is a real mess so the hall will have to wait a bit longer.
DeleteIsnt that a gorgeous combination! Love the bright front door, but I can't see me being able to convince my other half that it would look good!
ReplyDeleteI have so many decorating jobs to do in the house, and some half finished ones too.
I am sorely tempted to pull up a few of the carpets we inheirited when we moved in here, and if i had bare stairs like you I would not be able to resist putting different wallpapers on the risers as I've seen on Pinterest!
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment Jacqui!
